About
Brought to you by Rogue Squirrel and Urban Artistry, Soul Society is an International Urban Dance and Culture Festival sponsored in part by a grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County. Our idea is to bring the community along with local, national and international guests for a unique experience that will provide a global perspective into the world of urban dance, music and arts culture.
Our mission is to educate the community, by providing information on healthy alternatives to nutrition, fitness and training for dancers and artists.
Develop relationships with community service organizations for artists to serve in their communities.
Provide networking opportunities for vendors, artists and arts organizations to form collaborations.
Create educational demonstrations and panel discussions, that can provide insight into the world of urban dance, music and arts culture and give a better understanding of the history, principals, methods and traditions of those cultures from around the world.
Invite International guest artists to perform, compete and teach in order to provide a global perspective on urban dance, music and arts culture.
Create a space for battles, competitions, cyphers and dance performances.
Expo urban art, design, graffiti, paint, film and photography.
Provide historical preservation of these art forms while also paying respect to those who came before us.
